The open studio showcased A selection of Island Rugs, Time Travellers rugs, tapestries, and furniture prototypes will be on display. Every collection asks the audience to experience these textiles with both your eyes but hands and feet. They are pieces that are to be touched, walked on, and sat on. Every piece tells a different geological story of Australia and its 4.6 billion years of time travel. They connect everyone to the ground we live on. In an age of digital connectivity, where we have access to everything right now, in this second of time, Emma Jackson offers the opposite, access to right here, this place on earth, on a 4.6 billion year time line.
