Roo Rug

SKU 304215375135107

It takes an amateur to see a giant marsupial in the South Australian geology maps. I can find no geological record that the Roo has been acknowledged; granted geologists have been preoccupied with more relevant scientific observation and analysis. Even more remarkable is this that the island that sits at the end of the kangaroo’s tail is called Kangaroo Island. It was named by Matthew Flinders in 1802 due to the numerous kangaroos on the island, and not because of its proximity to a 1.6-billion-year-old super boomer.
